Delayed start of the netball season for 2020

To our players, coaches, umpires, team managers, committee members, sponsors and families.
Today the Riverland Netball Association made the difficult decision to suspend all netball related activities until the 31st May 2020. The Loxton North Netball Club supports this decision and appreciates the work the RNA has done to reassure our netball community at this time.
This decision will mean all of our preseason activity on the court will cease immediately.
Trials scheduled for this Thursday night have been cancelled for all age groups as has the proposed training for our A grade squad tonight. Normally, following trials, we would hold a ‘Meet Your Team’ night and begin training however until we receive further advice from the RNA and/or Netball SA, these activities will all be placed on hold.
We understand that many of you may be disappointed by this news but the health, safety and wellbeing of our members, their families and our wider community is and always will be our main priority.
We also understand many of you will have questions for us about the coming season but ask that you remain patient and supportive of our committee as we work to answer those for you. Our Executive Committee will be meeting this weekend ahead of our general meeting scheduled for next Monday.
As you are all aware, the information and advice we have today might change tomorrow but we will strive to keep you updated and informed as the RNA and the Loxton North Netball Club respond to the changing environment and the disruptions caused by COVID-19.
Many thanks,
Nichole Halliday
LNNC President
